The look and feel

Monday, 7 September 2009 13:13 by JamesLambert

Began work on a logo for the blog today but am so far unhappy with the results. I might just end up going with it due to lack of time and make a better one later.

If you are wondering, I am also going to update this blog to look and feel more like the rest of the site, but such cosmetics are on the back burner. I hate how it looks like a completely different site right now. I think I am going to have to make a custom template for it. It is funny are hard it is to design something for a design oriented site. The nature of the site makes me second guess everything I am doing. I always thought it would be hard to edit a publication that is focused on the editing trade, and this is a similar situation.

In other news, I've been doing a bunch of seo work on this site and it looks like it might be starting to pay off. Of course, link building is getting much harder now that everyone is using the nofollow command. I think I have found a good source with a lot of good seo juice. If you follow me on twitter, you already know of this, but I will write more about nofollow and my site in the near future, once I see some results from my work. Until then, take care.
